OUR IMPACT
From the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver to Nora Bernard Street in Halifax, our kitchens serve more than meals. They serve hope, opportunity, and dignity. Every plate we make is a step toward a more connected, nourished,
and equitable community.

250+ JOBS CREATED
We’ve hired hundreds of people with barriers to employment, offering stability, purpose, and a seat
at the table.

5.1 MILLION MEALS SERVED
Since 2012, we've delivered over 5 million chef-made meals across Canada, nourishing bodies and restoring dignity, one plate
at a time.

160,000+ KG OF FOOD RESCUED
We recover surplus food from farms, stores, and producers and turn
it into delicious, nourishing
meals daily.
DAILY MEAL PROGRAM
The Daily Meal Program is the foundation of our work, running 365 days a year across both coasts. Between our Vancouver and Halifax kitchens, we prepare, cook, package, and deliver thousands of chef-made meals every single day.

Since 2012, we've served over 5 million meals in partnership with community housing providers, shelters, health centers, and outreach programs. These meals don’t just address hunger,
they restore dignity, build trust, and create a consistent
source of care for those most often left behind.

Led by passionate chefs and supported by a team that reflects the communities we serve, this program is proof that food is
not just a basic need, it’s a tool for upward mobility,
wellness, and connection.

INCLUSIVE COMMITMENT
In an industry where turnover can reach 80% per year, we do things differently. With staff who face traditional barriers to employment, such as addiction, poverty, incarceration, ageism, or gaps in work history, our turnover rate is just 30%.

This is not a coincidence. Through inclusive hiring, at least half of our team identifies with one or more barriers. In return, we see stronger retention, deeper trust, and a kitchen culture
built on respect.

Beyond the numbers, the impact is personal. Many team members stay for years, growing skills, confidence, and community. Our kitchens offer more than jobs. They offer a path to
stability and purpose.
PLENTY OF PLATES
Plenty of Plates is one of the most joyful and human parts of what
we do. It’s an evening where volunteers step into our kitchen,
cook alongside our team, and serve a full plated dinner to community members who rarely get to enjoy a restaurant-
style experience.

Each meal is served with care, dignity, and no strings attached. Guests are greeted, seated, and waited on like family. For
many, it’s the first time in a long while they’ve been
treated that way.

With over 68,000 meals served through Plenty of Plates, the impact goes far beyond the food. It’s about connection, belonging, and the shared belief that everyone deserves to be
nourished and celebrated.
